ANy 05 clks out there?

I recently sold my 03clk500 and basically i sold it to get an amg, i have been looking for an E55 but there are no cars out there, even if there are they are either too much for their condition/mileage or either the are just priced really high. I did not find any clk55s, if i get another clk then i want an 05 and up 55. So are there any clk55s for sale....?

Have you checked ebay. I just bought mine from there and there were some 05s with less mileage than mine.

you will mostly find cabs as they sold many more of those compared to coupes that model year.

here's what looks like a decent deal on a 2005 CLk55 coupe with low miles:

Zeek, that car is probably close to you (New Jersey). There have been 6 offers made on that car.

I had thought about an E55 too but figured I'd try a convertible. It' s been a lot of fun. What would you say is a really good price for either CLK55 or E55? Incredible how MBs drop in value compared to the old days, huh?

well i would pay around $20k for a nice 05 clk55. Auction prices are around 17-18k on those cars. E55 i would do around $23k or $24k. Auction prices on those are around $18 - $19k fluctuating.

with those prices in mind, you would have a tough time to find an 05 with low mileage. the 1st sounds like a pretty good price and you get quad exhaust.

Is it possible to contact a small time dealer and have them purchase you a car at auction with small fixed markup?

my cousin is a dealer, he can purchase a car for me for no problems, but the problem is that there are no amgs coming where hes located at. They come very rarely and when they do they go so fast...

It ma be hard to find an 05 coupe...if I remeber right there are only like 2xx 05 CLK55's in the US which will make finding one harder especially through auction. I think 20k is optimistic even with auction values of 17-18k unless you are looking at a high mileage car (60k plus). Just as POR my dealer offered me 28k for mine on trade for a 07 E63 but I didn't need a car that big...also my car only has 23k miles on it and it still under factory warranty.

your dealer offered you 28k for your 05clk55 with 23k miles? I think thats higher than what most dealers will offer here, dealers usually lowball you like ****. But they must have been making you finance that E63 to cover up.

Zeek, getting the car for the price you're looking for is probably not realistic in most cases. If AMG's were so readily available, I would agree that you can find them at the price you want. Most AMG's wont be at the auctions. Luck is almost what you need to make this happen. You gotta overpay for what you want and can't be offered cheap enough for what you don't want

im not looking to buy a 05 clk55 for 15k, i know they dont come to the auctions that much but when they do they go for those prices. If you read my post, i am in the market for an amg not necessarily for a clk but if i find a nice clk55 for the price that i want to spend then i would be all over it, i am leaning more towards the E55 and obviously i will spend more for a E55 because they are going for more. Anyway, thanks guys...
