How about something like this? I wrapped my stuff in carbon fiber myself, way cheaper than buying carbon fiber pieces.

I used some CF material that I bought off a vendor on another site a while back. I'll see if I can find it. The material itself is pretty thin, but it is strong and easy to work with and looks great in person. Most people dont even realize that its wrapped in carbon fiber until I tell them.

Here's a few more pics of the material.

The trim around the shifter just pops out I believe, as does the cover for the ash tray. The center console does have screws that need to be unscrewed.

If it is a 2003 CLK55, it should have an engine starter button on the shift knob Yours doesn't have one....Are you a POSER?

You should do your research. The engine start/stop button on the shifter is for cars with the keyless go option. Since it's an option, then there will be some cars without it.

Thanks for the kudos and back up guys. If anybody is really interested in doing this, I can go look for where I got this material from and I may be able to do a little write up if needed.

I did the same thing, its actually a CF fabric that can be purchased through EuroDyne. Pretty inexpensive and just takes a little time to take off all the trim pieces and patience putting on the CF fabric.

Sorry if I offended you. We have all been wrong at one time or another.
I just looked at the window sticker from mine, and I did pay extra for the keyless go option.

I am not offended, just wanted to clarify the matter. Its pretty harsh to call someone a POSER on the forums, when they really aren't. In any case, glad its all clear now. I wish I had Keyless go.

No, it is obviously not clear at your end. Read my previous post. I ASKED you if you are a poser. I didn't call you one.

Here you go Tony and others:

http://www.euro-dyne.com/products.html

Give them a call and ask them for the CF fabric. They sell it by the yard, 1 yard should be enough for your wood trim. NO it is not REAL CF. It looks good and is much easier to work with. YES it is a POSER CF, but if you like it that's all that matters.
