For those of you that have painted your grille black what color code did you use?

I have a silver clk. Just wondering which black I should go with.

These are what I found under the mercedes paint codes
040 - black
197 - obsidian black
696 - night black

 

040 would be your best bet. if you're interested i'm selling my authentic OEM clk550 sports grill which is painted black from the factory.

 

Is it for a w208?

I'm dropping mine off tomorrow to get painted. Maybe someone else might be interested?
