Depending on if your car us US spec or Euro spec it makes a difference whether you have 1 or 2 sets of cats. The W209 CLK500 & CLk550 US Spec do have primaries & secondaries, if you are over seas then you will only have one set of cats. Hope that helps.

Speaking from experience - as long as the substrate holds up, you'll pass with aftermarket cats. My name-brand-supplier's cats were dead in two years, but YMMV. The tough part will be finding someone in SoCal to install cats that don't have a CARB sticker.

- Car Sound (Magnaflow) 46000 series cats for 1996-2000
- AirTek (CATCO) 410000 series cats for 1995-2002 (can't find them in the CATCO catalog)
- Miller Catalyzer Corp 12000/11000 series cats for 1995-2004

Andy,
I just did a true dual on my CLK550 and find a bit too loud. I origionally took out the 2 bubble resonators and the secondary cat. Will i lose a lot of power going from no secondary cats to this? I'm only doing it becuase i find that my car is a bit too loud and has too much drone.

I used these 300 cell cats w/custom downpipes from my Turbos, relocated O2 sensors & bungs NO check Engine lights & recently passed stringent CA SMOG w/NO tricks on crapy 91 octane. They're surprisingly afforable & durable been on nearly (2) years now...

Do you just have the 300 cells in place or do you also have secondaries?

The links to eBay have expired...can anyone help me find these? There are so many universal options and most don't tell you the cell psi...
Ordering some headers, so I need to get these too!

Euro Cars Only
My setup: Stock headers --> X Pipe --> Straight Pipes --> Borla Muffler --> 300 cell cats to the exhaust tips and it's loud.
