Rim & tire question
I recently saw an ad for original 18" mono's. The ad specifies the rim sizes as 18x8.5 & 18x9.5 and the tires as 245/40 & 265/35. Could these be real? I thought 18" mono's came in 8" and 9" widths. Also, would this set fit on a stock 01 clk55? I'm planning on changing my tires soon & am considering an upgrade to 18's but don't want to tweak with the original suspension setup.

I also thought real AMG monos came only in 8 and 9 inch widths for an 18 inch rim. Ask the seller to show the AMG stamps front and back.
As for the fit, it's possible, even with 8.5 and 9.5, depending on the offset. But 245s up front on 8.5 rims is going to be tight.

I am running 8" and 9" Mono blocks on mine with 245 ft and 265 rr.
It is tight and they will rub on big dips or bumps......however they look fantastic!!!! I am also running AMG euro springs and thinner spring pads. I have about a 1.5" drop.
