To sell or not to sell....
My 05 CLK55 has just reached a 100k milestone. My exit plan was to buy a 4x4 daily (which I did by buying a 2010 ML450 hybrid) and replace the clk with either a used SL55 or a brand new C63.
I took my clk today to a local carmax to unload it for 12k but could not do it due to the fact that the car has more value to me than 12k (still looks sharp, drives well, and I am just too attached too it). It will still do a fine job as a weekend fun car but then again there is a risk of getting into a trouble such as transmission failure, which actually did happen 3 weeks ago (fixed with a transmission module replacement which cost me 2500... could have been worse).
I would appreciate your thoughts!

seems like you have been through a lot. i'd say if you already dont find it worth it to sell it, try to sell it 3rd party on craigslist or something to see if you can get more.
i would keep it. add some suspension and keep as a weekend car. its still a good car and for 12k, you cant get a lot.
