2002 CLK55 Cabriolet
Please Help!!!
Ok, so long story short, I bounced my '02 CLK55 into a curb (right front) and had it towed home. The wheel is pushed back towards the door. When the driver's (non-hit side) is straight, the passenger side is towards the left, and lastly the top of the wheel is tilted out significantly more than the bottom. I'm a regular working stiff that can't afford to just take it to the dealership and swallow the cost, so what I need help with is my probable shopping list. Thanks!

Perhaps a body shop estimator or insurance adjuster will chime in. Do you have any pics to assist with the damage estimate?
Any bodywork damaged, or is it all suspension/undercarriage? Have you damaged the brakes? Is the frame bent?

Likely bent the stub axle. There are a half dozen things that could be bent. Throwing parts at it is not the way to go. A competent front-end mechanic needs to assess the damage.

Taking it to a shop for estimate will likely cost you a flat bed, but I've never been charged by a body shop for an estimate as they do it regularly for insurance companies. Most mechanical shops have a basic fee for inspection. I know it might seem rough to invest the funds towards diagnosis, but you need to protect yourself in the big picture and know what your getting into. Frame rack will vary, but some of the smaller shops may charge as little as $500 for a little pull and then your parts can be dialed in correctly. No use installing a new control arm if its mounts are 25mm off. $200 upfront may save you putting alot of dough into a bad chassis that I hope isn't the case for you.

If tie rod is jacked up, control arm probably will be too. And if it was hard enough to physically shove the wheel back, dollars to donuts there's some axle damage.
