just picked up my new clk55 yr 2004 - comments on trip
A few comments on my 700 mile drive:
Love the car on short trips, but for the long haul the cars suspension and especially the seats are too hard. I wound up pulling into walmart and getting a seat cushion. Drove the remaining 500 miles the next day and was much better. Caddie STS it is not, but not trying to be either.
A lot of car for the money, for sure.
High speed steering is very precise.
Found the climate control a PIA and noisy.
Averaged 24 mpg on the hwy at close to 80 mph.
The seat adjustment buttons on the door are easily hit accidentally with knee when moving around. Any way to stop this from happening like a hold button or something similar?
Unwinding after the drive and just grabbed a cold one out of he fridge and chilling out.
