Someone on the 208 forum is doing just that. Said he has the ecu problem figured and can control the SC clutch with the stock ECU flashed?

A clutch? Why not run it without a clutch? Replace the pulley with a solid one? Who is doing the swap? Does it bolt to the stock heads or did he/she need the e55 heads?

I've wondered about this myself. Though I'd be inclined to drop in a complete E55 donor engine. They pop up on ebay time to time, and might be less work overall.

I dont know all the specs on the swap, and am waiting to hear how he got around the ecu issues. The clutch is there for driveability but im sure you could go solid with the proper mods. Course if you want to get around the clutch why not just go with kleemann?

Ask hooleyboy. He's done it on his old C55. It bolts to the stock heads
