Hey Chappy,

My 01 E55 is an orphan... great engine, great car, but no badge
So put me down as a member and please asign me a number.
Maybe we should make our own badges and put our member # on them

Attaching a pic of my car, though you should remember it from the PL and Caffeine and Octane last November...

Because your a 2nd or 3rd owner and the 1st owner decided to take it for his collection of automobile artifacts...


I know I took mine off of my w203 C55 AMG when we parted ways...

I know I took mine off of my w203 C55 AMG when we parted ways...
NOPE, sorry Mario... My E55 was orphaned from the factory.
AMG didn't start putting Master Mechanic plaques on their cars until '03 (iirc) and I have an '01.

I have an early AMG modified car. It's a 77" 6.9 which AMG did an appearance package on along with several engine modifications but I think this is before they started the signature plates.

The car is in pretty bad shape but earlier today I started a full restoration on it. I will be posting pictures of it tomorrow at http://www.spoonified.com which is where I will be covering the progress of the project.

Cool, but how do you know who the master mechanic was???

I've asked on the Private Lounge and AMG aren't willing to do the research on orphaned cars to figure out who the MM was.
They are Germans, so you know they have the records down to the microscopic details.

Hope there is an aesthetically pleasing place to mount the plaque on your sleeper?
