Hey all - here is my situation... I want to run original OEM AMG 18" wheels back on my 04 CLK55. I have the (2) original rear 18 x 8.5's with 255/35 tires. I can get another (2) of the same 18 x 8.5's with 255/35 on a trade and was wondering if they will fit on the FRONT as well? Can anyone offer any input on this? I know the original OEM AMG 18" fronts are 18 x 7.5 but was hoping to fit the 8.5's on the front as well. Here are the wheels ...

i think you're better off trying to find the fronts thru one of the wheels places. i tried fixrim.com, i think, in SF area and was impressed w/ results...and they have refinished wheels, so perhaps they can swap for you.

OK - so here is my story. Wanted original OEM AMG wheels for my CLK55 as I was getting tired of the chrome monoblock VI look. I bought (2) 18x8.5 rears and fitted them with 255/35 R18 XL Hankook ventus V12 tires. I then tried them on the fronts to see if the offset was ok, and they fit fine. The tire is nice and flush with the fender too which was the look I wanted. Then I bought (2) more of the exact same and fitted them to the rear with spacers so the rears were flush with the fenders as well....very happy with results

Congrats - how did you end up finding the wheels?
I'd like to upgrade my E320 wagon and make them sportier.
