CLK55 "shudders" when I start it???

CLK55 "shudders" when I start it???
does not happen a lot, but sometimes when I start my CLK it turns over but shudders a bit like its not going to turn over. What could be the problem? Any thoughts? Thanks. TC

2005 CLK 55 AMG
Starter with corroded contact or weak battery. Or simply starter going south.
