CLK55 W208 Wind Noise

Hello Everyone

My first post in 2 years. I am looking to buy a 2002 CLK55. I wanted to ask if it is common for the W208 to have wind noise between the two windows.

I am currently driving an 95 E320 Coupe. I love that car but it always sounds like a window is cracked open. There is a bad seal between the two windows and mine is not the only one I have seen with that problem.

I can see that the W208 has the same beautiful pillarless windows. Do they seal well or does anyone experience a similar problem to the one I have on my E320A?

I also have wind noise. Any DIY guide on how to align the windows?
I am planning to replace the seal (about $100 each side) which is #8:

I do not have a solution but it is good to know that this is something I need to watch for.

I wonder how common is this problem. Who else has this issue?

I know on my e320 I need to replace the seal that goes around the door frame. The one on the window looks like new.

the w208's are not pillarless. i briefly had a wind noise in mine but it was unrelated to your issue. There was a rubber strip that dislodged in the moonroof assy that caused it. glued it back on, problem solved.

Yeah I drove one this weekend (WOW!) and saw that it has the piller. I don't mind. I rather have a pillar than wind noise.

I have a W208 cab and have a slight problem with wind noise. Not enough to be annoying, but it's there if I pay attention to it.
