My new best friend. I'm kinda jealous - this is what I would have liked my car to be. But do to the lack of competent tuners in NY - (haven't met one yet) it is impossible. You must be EVOSPorts dream. I can only imagine what the tag must be. I would really like to ask a few more questions. Is your email listed somewhere I can leave my number? I'm very interested in this dual exhaust thing, if I keep the car. I'm reading into this that you and EVO must have some sort of synergistic relationship. There getting something of a showcase car, u get the work done? WHat do you intend to do with the car when completed - show car? Are you doing the interior too? Glad to see other extremists. THen again a few posts down you can go see the 5 silver CLK's (identical) all stock, wait...except for those crazy spring pads. ANd then the best my other new best friend Karl c. posts a picture of his WHEEL CAPS!!! I can't . ANd the best is people are writing asking where to get them. I'm going to sleep now.

Shoot me an e-mail at sleestack@sbcglobal.net. I don't plan on showing the car but I'm sure Evosport will use it for their own promotional and markeitng purposes. The interior is going to be upgrade with racing seats and the existing wood trim will be replaced with carbon fiber, however other than that I don't plan on doing too much. The rollcage somewhat dominates the interior. I'm removing most of the stereo because other than listening to a bit of H. Stern in the morning, I don't listen to the radio when I drive. I'm just going to be a menace on the California roads.

You know I haven't read a lot about the spring pad lowering recently...but can I show you a cool pic of my tricked out door handles?

Sleestack -

Definitely. As you can see, the roll cage makes the backseats somewhat useless. More importantly there is a significant weight savings to be had by doing so. They will be replaced by some sort of deck.... who wants backseat drivers in a 700 hp car anyway?

I'm a new member but must say this is the most entrertaining post thus far.
SLEESLACK YOUR CAR SOUNDS INSANE. Btw I'm thinking of turning my clk into a showcar, I was wondering if making the car a targa is possible since the roll cage is unibody, any info would be appreciated
thanks.
