i got a 2001 clk55. when it is cold it starts 1st or 2nd try, hot takes 3-6 tries. Sounds like there is no gas then it gets a little, then more and then it starts. once it starts i can drive but when i full throttle it revs up some but very little power, anything after about 2000-2500 rpm is lag. I replaced fuel filter 10k ago, MAF 15k ago. Replaced battery, fuel pump, MAF (used warranty), unhooked exhaust at engine (check if cat clogged), TPS, in that order over 4 days. Then after 4 days of no codes i get 2 codes P0170 (fuel trim bank 1) and P0173 (fuel trim bank 2), I get another MAF today, same problem and codes. the MAF is a remanufactured Bosch by Cardone bought at o' reilly auto parts.

Please keep us informed when you find the problem. With those codes, it does sound like MAF.

had a friend look at a invoni(sp) scanner live data. the fuel trim for bank 1 is short .01-3 long 23-25(omg). fuel trim for bank 2 is short .01-3 long 25-28.7 (OMFG). didn't get maf forgot
