Long Haul - Preventing Rock Chips, Opinions?

I am picking up W209 CLK55, and have a 14 hour drive back.

I am very concerned about rock chips, was thinking about transporting it through a transport service, but figured since I am there might as well drive it back.

I have about a week before I am picking it up. My options that I can think of are:

1. Automotive Transport Film, as seen on car when they are delivered when new. My hesitation is I do not know how the heat of engine will affect the film.

2. Buy a bra: But have heard horror stories that bras can do more damage than they prevent. Found this one...

3. Chance it.

What do you all think?

Ive seen peeps go nuts with the blue tape. Time consuming but should work. Of course dont tape over the intake!

I had luck w/ a car bra.

New bra installed on cleaned car.

Then you can re-use if you ever have this concern again.

The bra has some style to it over blue tape.

(Never install over a dirty car)

The blue tape is all the rage with the Audit/Dub tuners. I've used it on the rear bumper at the drag strip. I'd use two layers to prevent rock chips up front. Don't leave it on too long.
