Annoying Dash Rattle - W208 CLK55

Annoying Dash Rattle - W208 CLK55

Hello,

I'm wondering if someone can help me resolve an annoying dashboard rattle in my W208 CLK55. I've had this car over 3 years and this has been going on at least half of that time. The vinyl/rubber dash that makes contact with the windshield rubs and makes this annoying rattle. I know it's there because if I grab the dash and pull back away from the windshield while driving it goes away.

My thoughts are to either-

1. Tighten something (maybe some bolts in the has area???)
2. Lubricate - apply some type of lubricant to that space so that it slides easily when it rubs and the rattle goes silent. I would not know what to use as I'm concerned about chemicals damaging the dash material.

I took a quick video on my phone and posted here. The video makes it sound almost like a crackle.

I know this post is a few weeks old. But if it helps anyone I had this same problem. I replaced the front window and it solved the problem. My old window had 90k miles on it and was just worn out.
