In order to reach 1 G, you must accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 5 seconds. My CLK AMG does that and so do the new 500 hp SLs and Es.

I saw an ad for the Passport G-timer in the latest issue of Autoweek. The device is made by Escort and is a measuring device similar to the G-Tech performance meter. It calculates acceleration times, g-forces and other interesting data. You mount it on the inside of the windshield and plug it into the cigarette lighter....away you go!
I thought it might be a fun toy without spending more than a couple hundred dollars......but I'm not familiar with the quality/features of this unit compared with some other performance meters on the market.

I am not familiar with the G-tech. Why do you think the Passport G-timer is better?
