Well After I broke the left rear axle and found the car was quite difficult to load on a Flat bed , The car was to low for my usage & did not transfer weight well when launching off the line. So I did some info finding & measurements.OEM springs were just to High For appearance sake.! Front was 15-1/4" wheel ctr to fender lip & 2-1/2" gap from top of tire to fender lip
Rear was was the same! Back in 05 I installed a Kleemann lowering spring Kit
Ride Quality was fair , Ride height at the time was what I liked.
Front was 13" from wheel ctr to fender Lip & 1/2" gap From top of the tire to the fender Lip
Rear Was The same , But Had some Fitments issues with 275 - tall side wall Drag Radials. All was well with the street Tires 225 Frt & 265 Rears. I added weight of the Kleemann blower kit & Went to Dual Exhaust . Which lowered it a Tad More .
My Taste have changed again LOL> some I look at the OEM Springs & Kleemann springs , Big difference in Measurements & Spec's , Then I looked at EiBach Pro- spring Kit . I talked to Luke @ Tire Rack. Very Nice man BTW.He look over what I had for spec's And offered to send a new set of EiBach Spring Kit P/N 2563.140 . Offered to let me return them or exchange them . I had the new springs Installed to the front struts. I install the assys back into the frt Suspension. Installed the Progressive Rate springs in the rear Suspension. And here is what I Got with the EiBach set up
Frt 13-3/4" Wheel ctr to the Fender lip , 1-1/4" Gap from the top of the tire to the Fender lip . 1-1/4" lower than OEM
Rear Was 14" from Wheel ctr to Fender lip , 1-3/8" gap from top of the tire to the Fender lip
Idrove the car to settle in the springs It did not settle at all. Which is good.
Hope this helps anyone looking to drop the car a little or a lot.

That's some good info there. I had H&R springs front and rear but Ended up getting a custom set tossed in the rear a few months ago lifting it up about 1/2", the look is perfect and the car doesn't squat nearly as bad on a launch now.

Thanks for the info Pat, please let us know how it works on your next trip to the 1/4. Interesting that there is such a big difference between the stock CLK and C springs...

Solid technical intel as always, PTE. I appreciate your contributions to our forum.
It’s curious that Eibach’s “Pro Spring” is almost a dead ringer for OE C55/CLK55 hardware.
Of course Eibach has long been a supplier to AMG.
Been through several spring rate/ride height/damping iterations on a C32. Finally settled upon C55/CLK55 front springs (w/ #203 320 09 44 bump stops)
and H&R’s #52792-2 wagon(!) springs in order to achieve sufficient jounce travel and an acceptable workaday ride height.
Aftermarket anti-roll bars and modified dampers served to bring it all together during HPDEs.

Florida Roads & Highways Are Pretty Nice & Flat ( So to Speak of ), The ride was not Bad. Entrance & Exit Ramps offered some suspension setup . But My last trip to Blowing Rock NC. area & The Blue Ridge Parkway Showed me , I needed to change the setup. The Spokes on the Fikse Wheels Start to flex enough to touch the brake calipers!! Especially, When I would stuff the car into a sharp corner & Push the front pretty Hard , ( added weight of the Blower setup). The rear seemed good But a Bit stiff. I could side the rear Out nicely & Keep it under control up to moderate speeds LOL . I had 5mm spacers wheel spacers against a already 38 mm ET , I brought a set of 10MM H&R Spacers & took off 3 MM . Removed the 5mm & installed the new 7 MM.
I remember on the old 71 911E Porsche I used to spin out 1/2 way through some corners . Tried all kinds of things. But what worked the best , was to disconnect the Rear anti sway Bar, Which let the Cars body move a little more & Some driving lessons really Helped ME! I just had to loosen up this car a bit , And adjust for the added weight to the front end.
