No hate dude, remember, the CLK55 is not available here, only the 500's. And besides, my old, slow, underpowered, non AMG would rape yours
J/k, everyone here knows that if I ever find a '05 CLK55 white on black I will have it on a boat bound for Dubai in a heartbeat and swap everything from my 500 over to it.

White on black FTW!
Nice, is it local?

I'll run the 1320 one day just for you dude
And as a totally bizarre twist of fate, I spotted a '05 55 in a parking lot yesterday! I left my card on it asking the owner to call me when they wanted to sell. The car is silver but I already talked to my paint guy (West Coast Customs) about a proper color change to white. Man I hope I can get that car!
Sorry for the thread jack stick...

CLK55 AMG (W208)
Hello Kevwood, No CLK55 AMG in Dubaï ? ? ? I don't believe you
I feel that somehow you will manage to find one...
I'll be in Dubaï next month, I love it, been there 3 times
I'd like to pay a visit to West Coast Customs there, is it possible ? are there nice/interesting things to see at their place ?
I have been to the Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi last time and enjoyed it

West Coast Customs has moved into a new facility (part of the Living Classics group now) and is expanding every few months, some really interesting projects going on there, not like the US ones though, not a lot of rap-video'esque garbage thankfully
Shoot me a PM and let me know when you'll be here and where you're staying. I travel outside the country every week almost all week but I'll try to be around to meet up with you for a beer.

CLK55 AMG (W208)
You should get a CLK55 that was imported, not easy to find but possible, what about if you were to import one yourself ? I'm not aware with the import/taxes regulation when you import a car in Dubaï !?
Your CLK looks great and I bet it performs real well, KLEEMANN would definitely be my choice in doing any upgrades ! In fact, I'm in contact with them and thinking about doing some upgrades on mine, I will see, Problem is I can't find a good distributor in France, the best would be for me to either find one in Germany, Belgium or Netherlands... or go to their headquarter in Danmark directly !
I will send you a PM when I'm there, I should be staying at the "One and Only Royal Mirage"... I will let you know, and if you are available, it will be great to meet for a drink, definitely !

2003 BMW M3
I hear you on that. I hate when someone just lets the thread go dead, so the search continues. However, I have decided to sell both my M3 and my Vette so I am now looking at 05 and up CLK55's, E55's, and C63's. Now I am more in wait to sell mode, cash seems to be a better tool to use rather than "Hey wanna trade".
Oh, and to update I missed the White on Red CLK55 AMG that Hendrick Mercedes had.

I too was in your same situation, But I was looking at Purchasing a Bmw M3 or a 55AMG
Here was a review I read by Car and Driver when I was Considering Both cars.
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...take-road-test
As you can see I went with the Mercedes

2003 CLK 55, 2011 S63
Op it all depends on your driving style. I have owned both and I must say they are completely different. IMO the m3 is more balanced and deserves the classification of "sport car" while the clk55 feels more like a cruiser/bruiser. The clk is a much better daily driver than the m3 and if you don't plan on tracking either car go with the 55!

2003 CLK55AMG
My personal impressions with both cars are that they are very similar in performance but M3, Clk have different strong points.
M3
strong points are:
stock handling
better stock wheels
lots of companies make MOD parts for the M3.
CLK
Strong points are:
5.5L
no b-pillar
front seats
stock exhaust sound is good.
The main reason that I chose a CLK55 was the motor. I personally enjoy a v8 sound and TQ is also a plus. The CLk that I purchased came with coil-over kit on it and BBS wheels. The stock wheels on the CLK i'm personally not a fan of. Another point to mention is that in the area I live there are lots of M3 around and only a few clk's. I personally enjoy having a car that not a lot of people have.
Good luck in your decision and keep on .

This summarizes a lot of my decision making process, I ended up with a CLK500 though.
