CLK 55 suggested Shocks and Springs
Hi All,
The rear shocks on my 2003 W209 clk55 is leaking and needs to be replaced. What are some options that would not cost an arm and a leg but still perform as good as the stock shocks that came with the car? Should I replace the front and rear shocks as a set? or is it ok for them to be different?
I read that the AMG cars do not usthe same shocks and springs as the regular W209 cars.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Stock OEM Front Sachs struts and rear shocks are pretty Good , But I don't know what you are looking to do . I went with EiBach , Most people go with
H & R if they are looking to drop there ride . I do have the OEM springs out of my 03 CLK 55 AMG. Ther are low mileage About 8000 miles. Which I'm willing to sell. Look around Lots of info . If you are looking to drop your ride , Adjustable Camber bars from P1 Performance (Melvin) is a Must. They are very well build. Bolt Right in , I've installed 2 sets . My Car & a friend E-320 4 matic Station wagon. They are under $200.00.
Cheers
