2004 CLK 55 AMG
What should I do?
My family recently bought a 2004 clk55 AMG with a little less than 50,000 miles, in nearly perfect stock condition. I am wondering if someone has any suggestions for mods to this car. Wheels/tires, ECU, intake, exhaust, or ways to lighten it? What is worth doing and what is not?

Other than that mods get expensive.
Headers will run you 1000 for mid length kleemann's. The MBH headers are full long tube and will provide more gain, but cost is circa 2500 for a set. Plus any install.
Intake options are slim. Renntech airbox is a good option, has seen 10whp increases in cars. Used these go for about 1k.
Needswings, I am sure could make an good intake for us M113's if we showed enough interest. Price would be about 700 basing it off the M112 intake.
There are some Under Drive Pullies floating around, gain was 2whp peak.
An xpipe has some gains, but it will be custom, so again this will cost some coin.
You can port and polish the stock heads, big $$$$.
There are also cams, gains will not be amazing, but they do gain. Price ranges from 1800 and up for a used set. Whether it be VRP, Kleemann, SLR, etc.
Installing a LSD is a great upgrade, either quafie or wavetrac. Price is around 2k installed.
Lastly, a Tune will help across the board. Many tunes out there. Kleemann, Eurocharged, OE, etc. Price range from 500-2k.
That is about it for staying N/A, I am sure i forgot something.
There is also a couple supercharging options that require a small fortune.
Kleemann has two kits available, the older Roto type, and the newer roots type. Used kits have been as cheap as 6k.
There is also an HPS supercharger, which is a relic IMO. It is not made anymore.

Wheels really bring up this car to a whole new level. But that depends on what size and style you are going for. We can certainly throw some suggestions around.
