Clk55 Trunk Lid Opening By Itself
My trunk lid on clk55 keeps opening spontaneously, even when the engine is running and I am in the car. Left the car locked with remote at grocery store and came out 1/2 hour later to find lid wide open and everything in trunk available to take! Teleaid called me to say they had had 16 reports from the car security- why did they only call me after 16 alarms? Anyway, took car to dealer who replaced module but it is still happening randomly. HELP!!!!!

TELEAID can open your trunk lid remotely, in case of a lock-out, by calling 1-800-FOR-MERC. I would call and check to see if there is a malfunction with that remote capability.
