Blown 208 55 amg, 211 55 amg
Navigation
I currently have the factory OEM Navigation unit in my w208 clk55. I am debating on upgrading or as some may say downgrading lol to a look-a-like unit like the one I have linked to below. Does any one have this unit or have pics of what it may look like in a w210 or w208? Does it hinder factory sound quality What are the pro's and con's? What is my OEM Unit worth if I sold it I have all Original and Updated CD's not one missing and I've got the OEM Booklet for them all! Thanks

2002 CLK 430
I looked at the same unit ~ a year and a half ago for upgrading my 02 CLK 430. I came across a few posts which said 1) they had some quality issues with these (i.e. the programming was buggy - also in line with a few 'downgrade improvement' double-dins I was looking at) and 2) more importantly for me, it doesn't fit quite right in the w208 (despite what the ad says). I guess you can make it fit with a custom dashboard fitment piece, but since I was doing it on my own, I wasn't ready to horse around with that/pay a shop to undue my work to make a 'moderate' look of fit.
I actually printed the pictures out and compared them with the stock size opening in the car. I believe they were a bit off raising suspension enough on my end not to buy. Ended up going with the JVC kameleon single din - though not a flashy, subdued and customizable look to make it fit in better.
