I just bought a clk 430 a few days ago and it’s been awesome, but for some reason I can’t help but think that I’m driving it wrong. Whenever I put my foot down there is a surge of power up to 3000rpm then it drops and won’t continue to pull for a few seconds, then it will start to pull again. All my car ive ever owned ive taken to or close to the red line and this is one of the cars that dose not seem to like that. This problem becomes worse when I’m trying to pull up hills. The car will sound like its revving its nuts of but it won’t pull like it should. I’ve taken a look at the oil and haven’t found a drop of water. The temp dose goes over 80 sometimes but never crosses 87-90. I don’t know if it’s normal for that car so I don’t take much notice but I have topped it off. The oil has been changed and I and I have putt on a new air filter and it has done some good. I took it down the street to a local advance and they said it might be a sparkplug or wire. Can anyone help .
Try the adaptive reset before going any further
