I recently replaced the muffler on my 2002 CLK 430 with an aftermarket model for a different sound. It dawned on me that hanging on to the original muffler really isn't all that practical...so why not get rid of it for some early spring cleaning.

Any one know what they're worth? I can upload pictures (though it won't be for a week or so as I'll be out of town), but the muffler is in great shape, came off my car which only has 55k miles on it (it's never seen the salt of winter either as I bought the car 2 years ago trucked in from the south, and garaged last winter). I'm in Chicago, IL and prefer not to ship. Thoughts?

Curious to know what aftermarket muffler you went with - please post pics of the used muffler for sale and would you ship if you cant find a local buyer to pickup?

Will post pics if there is interest. And no, not problem with packaging/shipping if local pickup is not garnering much interest (just didn't want to waste much of a buyer's money on shipping costs if possible). I'll have to look through my records as to which muffler I ended up going with - was one of the models suggested in one of several forums on here.

As mentioned above, I have a Mercedes Benz exhaust / muffler which was removed from my 2002 CLK 430. Muffler is in great shape (Road dirt/debris shown in pictures though - it's winter in Chicago and I have not cleaned by hand due to the cold temperatures. Nevertheless, chrome is in excellent condition), came off my vehicle which was stored in snow/salt free Carolinas until recently.

I have it listed at $250 as that is far below the dealer cost and cheap enough to move out of my storage, or allow for someone else to take it, mark it up and resell, etc. My car has 60k miles on it - this came off just over 5k miles ago.

Please PM with any questions. I would prefer not to ship, but have no problem if there's serious interest/offer. I'm in Chicago, IL.
