Hi all, just picked up a 2006 clk55 vert. Very excited!
How do I get it to play the ipod?
It has an ipod cable in the glovebox right next to the CD changer. When I plug my ipod in, it charges it, but there's nothing on the screen that I see to control it. The manual makes no mention at all about an ipod.

On the Command try going to Audio. If it's already on the radio then hit "back" which is a soft key. Then go to "AUX" which is another soft key. This should then be at the iPod and you'll have to control it through your steering wheel buttons.

I believe Apple changed pins around 2008 starting with the iPhone 3G (or maybe 3GS). Anyways, he's right, the dock connector was made before then so any iDevice newer than ~2008 will likely need that adapter TO CHARGE. I don't believe he needs the adapter to simply play music, though, assuming he's got enough battery.

I use this http://www.ebay.com/itm/12ft-3-5mm-M...item5aed38e9fd i plugged in the aux spot and up to my iphone 4 works good but you have to change songs and adjust volume using your iphone and i charge it with a car charger. its the cheapest way to do it.
