CLK Infra red remote
Hi guys
I've got a 2005 CLK 280 sports convertible which has the infra red window on the drivers door handle and infra red on the remote and according to the manual if i point the remote at the handle and hold down the open or close button the roof and the windows should open or close...it does not work!!!! I know the remote is working, i've been speaking to a few people and they have conflicting answers to wether the this option comes standard from the factory or has to be added as an extra, some say from 2005 on it came as standard, so if you guys could answer this for me it save me looking for a problem thats not there!!!!!!
Thanks
Ice

This is how I do it. Let's say the car is currently locked and I want to open all the windows/ roof. Walk up to the driver's handle and point the remote at the IR area. Press once to unlock the car. Then press and hold the remote while pointing at the handle and the windows should start to roll down. Keep holding down until you reach the desired position.
To close the windows you first lock the car. Then press the button again while holding it at the handle to close to the desired position.
Basically, it's a two step process.
