Looking to buy W209 CLK 55 AMG
Hi
I'm a newbie to this and looking to buy a CLK 55 AMG coupe. Its a W209 53 plate with 100k on the clock and the price is 6250 including a private number plate which is worth at least 500 quid. Now it does have a valeo radiator but none of the problems associated with it in terms of the humming/droning/jolting gearbox. Is this too good to be true as the next cheapest is 7.5k. Any comments would be really helpful.

I have read some bad stories about rust and transmission woes accross the pond for 208/209. (the proof is in the poriage though) The custom mfg. plate would be an incentive if the car was properly serviced.
The gearbox if auto might need a reset (easy) or replacement (big expense without resources).
Are the prices above in US or Euro?
