Replacement bulb charts
OK not as sexy as BBKs or quad exhaust mods but I figured that I can't be the only one out here whose ride did not come with all of the books etc.
I got onto this as I was looking into replacing my foglights with something brighter and realized that I didn't know which bulbs I have. Kinda hard to think about upgrades without knowing the basics. So after searching around I found a dead link which, with a little more elbow grease has been upgraded to this:
http://www.sylvania.com/en-us/applic...s/lrgmain.aspx
After you enter your vehicle info it will give you a replacement chart for every bulb in your car. Here is for a '02 clk55 AMG with HID H/L:
http://www.sylvania.com/en-us/applic...el=525&make=60
Here is the same chart for the same car but with composite :
http://www.sylvania.com/en-us/applic...el=525&make=60
This as far as I got. Now here is my question, wait for it, which do I have, composite(which I assume is tungsten/ halogen) or HID (normally blue in hue)? LOL
I am pretty sure that I have "composite halogens but need a confirm. A little help would be great. Thanks.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Again this all comes up as I want the light to be bright but not ricer cheesy looking. I also want the lights to all match, headlights same as fogs. Just never liked the look of the blue low beams and halogen, white fogs coming at me. Thanks.

AMG CLK55, 450 SEL (sorely missed), Holden Commodore SS, Nissan Navara (company car)
There is a side by side comparison of the two types on page 257 of the CLK430 pdfs' that you can download from the internet.

2002 CLK 55 AMG cabriolet Eurocharged
You should have Xenon, tungsten is different than halogen and hid.
Tungsten comes to mind but Xenon is a vapor filled lamp.
The tungsten might be the element used in the halogen.
Thanks for the lamp links.
no clue, gator

Gator, thanks for the lead on xenon, I'll check it out.
Silber, same for the lead on the side by side comparison.
