The first prototypes are already being tested around the Nurburgring. This is a street version of the CLK DTM. Only 50 examples will see production. The car will be built in Affalterbach, and will be powered by the same 626 HP V8 supercharged engine that is currently in the production SLRs. the price is 230,000 Euros. According to them, this CLK will be less luxurious and more race car oriented. I guess similar to the Porsche GT3 Cup edition and the M3 CSL .

The Technical University of Berlin made a presentation on behalf of MB re lightening strike resistance of the new CLK convertible.
The new collapsible roof consists of steeltubing, which divert the electrical strikes of up to 1.4 mill. Volts.
The new roof is also quieter - 2 decibels - and protects all electronics from lightening strikes.

Stahlrohre beinhaltet die die elektrischen Ströme
somit ableiten. Auch die Bordelektronik die sehr gut
abgeschirmt ist, wird durch solche Blitze nicht
beeinflußt.

what HWA does mean?? I just know they did the A32 AMG...
Does it belong to ///AMG ?? or DaylmerChrysler???or is it a independant firm???
What a beast this CLK!! Have you got specs???! As fast than the SLR!!!?

is the name of the AMG racing team in the german DTM race series.
