Mysterious Knob

This car is one year new to me and I have searched high and low for the function of this knob.
I am thinking voice interrupt volume or SOS volume control. I have never used either but considering the voice as droid compatible interface is in the works.

Any clues?

Gator

Who ever owned it before you had a sound system in the car with an amp. Those switches are usually gain switches for the aftermarket amps. It's not factory,

Thanks VIP,
This coincides with the two sub woofer channels left to hook up on my system. I am using a E430 amp from E-bay as a preamp. Outputs are directed into a Schoche passive crossover with tweakable gain.
A 130W Audiovox High Comp amp fires MbQuart crossovers into the front channels. A Sony 120w amp fires the rear speakers. These are old amps out of some other cars I had just laying about.
The pot might be tied into the sub channel off the back of the NAV head. I think it is Alpine and newegg had a similar one. I was searching newegg this morning for droid, MP3 MB interface and happened to stumble across Alpine Sub gain Pot. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA0ZA08P0896

Its Identical, I just never installed a sub yet, ran out of Amps.

All the Best, Gator
