Bought a CLK55 Today!
Recently my 1994 celica was impounded. i figures i should replace it with a car that had door handles, air conditioning, a radio...you get the point....it was a beater.
I went to a used car lot and looked at a mustang, and the dealer decided to lose a deal over a few hundred bucks! So i went across the street....and i saw the 2001 CLK55 AMG. I didnt think i could afford it, and right when i was going to walk....there was a salesperson right behind me. Apparently it was cheap! i got it for $7K!!!!!
Im not used to this amount of power though! Not even with my foot to the floor i hit 70mph in half of a block!! This is NOT a car to drive slowly, and im excited to take this to the track!
Im still looking into some mods for it, it already has a blacked out grille and a sport exhaust. Feel free to recommend!

Congrats on the Purchase! They're great cars. Looking forward to seeing what mods you go with.
I'm right now looking into suspension mods. Coils, shocks, full sways, steering rack bushings, . Anything to increase handling.

For a fairly big car I think they handle surprisingly well. Good tyres are always the best first mod for handling. I went with a new set of 002 potenzas, fantastic for better launches and cornering and they last a reasonable amount of time. Swaybars would be my pick for the next mod.
