iPod intergration kit installed in my 05 CLK55
I installed this kit in my car yesterday. I confirmed with the seller 'MB of Brooklyn' that it would work before buying and took about 45 mins.
The instructions from here http://mbjunkies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=263 about disconnecting the fiber and plugging into the new harness was a big help.
Big box was p/n B67824558
Had everything I needed all in there.
Big cable harness was p/n B67824560
Shorter black cable with 'Cat5' looking connector on one end, iPod on the other. p/n A0018277304
Pulled the dash apart
Had to pull the existing AUX in out of the glovebox to run the iPod cable.
Put it all back together, pressed AUX and bam! A Mercedes logo popped up on the iPod and started playing Nine Inch Nails.
The bad:
It is only controlled through the steering wheel which is kind of a kludge
Pressing AUX again on the head unit doesn't bring up any info like a CD or radio would
The good:
NAV, CD, 6 CD changer all still working correctly.
Sound quality and volume are great.

2002 CLK 55 AMG cabriolet Eurocharged
Thanks for sharing that with us. I recently found a good website for tech inegration.
www.autotoys.com has a lot of tech guru interface for older models as well.
My 2002 is dripping with tech but I have had had little luck finding an out of box interface since NAV 01/02 was standalone. I am considering writing my own handshake software so to speak, It is easier than replacing the working components or buying a new car. LOL
All the Best, Gator

Once you have the iPod menu up, press the "hang up phone" button. The little ">" next to 'iPod' will disapear and you enter a submenu but you have to be quick or it reverts in a few seconds.
Then you can use the normal UP/DOWN arrows on the left side of the steering wheel to 'scroll' through the items. From here I was able to pick a certain artist/playlist/album/etc
To confirm your selection press the "pick up phone button"
It took me awhile, but I got the basics figured out now.
Still trying to see if I can FF through a song or display something more than the track name.
