clk 55 2003 blown engine
hello guys im new to this forum i own a clk55 w209 2003 and the engine let go con rod came frew the crank casing any way i am looking for a new engine and was wandering wat my options wear < clk 55 w208 or will any 55 amg engine go in dnt want to buy a engine and take a chance would rather get some info first

This motor is pretty common amount a few amg's. check ebay, and there are forum contacts for good used long blocks. I was considering picking up a spare for this reason. Gl

Guys, just curious here but how many miles were on the engine before it threw the rod? Also what were the circumstances under which the engine blew, e.g. out on the track at high revs, daily driving, highway driving, etc. Thanks.
