hey
my heated seat does work however, its only the back one that works. not the lower part of the seat where you sit on. Could anyone point me in the right directions what the problems could be please? Are there 2 separate units in the seat? will appreciate the replies..
thanks

There is a connection under the seat that may have come loose, or the element is bad in the cushion.
I replaced my lower seat foam and cover in my w209. It was not too bad. Just take your time.

Losing the lower heater is a common failure mode. I've had two driver sides replaced under warranty so far. The leather panel needs to be replaced to fix it.

Typically when half of the seat quits working its the heated seat matrix. There's a pattern of heating elements that has separated somewhere. If it really bothers you an upholstery shop should be able to repair your heated seat bottom.
If you feel like you have the skills to repair yourself you will need hog rings and a ring installation tool. Remove the seat bottom leather, find the broken element and solder the broken connection if its repairable, or replace the heated seat element.
