to each their own, both companys make very fine cars....the appearance of a car is very subjective.
new 5 series, new 7 series????
the new 5 series is a mixe of a kia rio and a acura TL. so i guess acura is copying both bmw and mercedes.
performance wise, yes bmw makes incredible handeling machine but they lack the torque department so depends on what kind of car you want. my thing is, you want a sports car then get a carrera/4/4s/turbo/gt2/gt3...
all the bmw owners said the previous clk was girly and now they are saying the new clk is girly. to each their own but yeah, the jetta is a girly car, the beetle is a girly car but a car that simply looks nice i dont know. the fact that the clk doesn't have any b-pillars makes it even more impressive.
someone in the bmw forums wrote that the m3 should be compared to the c32.
well yes and no. yes it should because its within the same price range but no it shouldn't because one is a four door and one is a two door. the clk55 for the price and everything...bmw does not have anything to compare to it besides the upcoming 6 series.
so yeah...two very different purposes two very different cars.
also if bmw owners dont like mercedes simply because they are automatics then so be it but if mercedes wanted to put a manual tranny in a luxury vehicle and add automatic as an option i am sure all the owners of their 70g cars are going to be thrilled when an automatic which is standard on most cars is now an option.
