some mp3 cd's don't read, others read fine!

some mp3 cd's don't read, others read fine!
i burnt 8 cd's full of mp3 files for the trip.... and 6 worked fine... but 2 of them just won't read.
so I'm trying to figure out why... i'm comparing them to the ones that worked.
so far, I removed square brackets from the file names, and I shortened any really long file names where my ripper picked up long album names. I verified that all the files are really mp3 format.
but it still wont read the one disk.
ANYONE have any idea what I should look for next? There has to be something wrong somewhere that's making this one collection of songs fail to read.

Be sure your copies are finalized. Some equipment does this automatically, bot sometimes it is a manual step than can be forgotten. Not every player has a fault code to identify that oversite

I'm pretty sure it's not that... I burned 8 cd's all the exact same way, but just these 2 don't read. I bet there's a single file that's hokey. I'll try eliminating half by half to see if I can isolate the bad file now that I'm home and can waste some time on it.
