Wheel Spacers - To Space Or Not To Space - That Is My Question

Amgio's - I just ordered a set of 20mm H&R Wheel Spacers for my beast - I am also placing 10mm on the front (Increase the agressive look of the BEAST) - Has anyone installed Spacers on the CLK55 ? - Any Negative affects ? I wil post before and after pictures next week, once they arrive - I also ordered the Kleenman Coilovers and springs - Merry Xmas to myself - I've been a good boy this year...

It is always better to stay away from spacers if possible. But H&R makes some pretty high quality spacers, you should be okay.

Kleemann coilovers??? Do you mean Kleemann speed sensitive suspension??? I dont think Kleemann makes CO for any MB.

There are no side affects when using TUV approved spacers, such as H&R, with the correct application for each car. On the w208, there are only 2 caution points. If you use a 5mm on the rear, you will not be able to fit your wheel (10mm and up come with a new lip for the wheel to sit on), and it will fall off. With Brembo front brakes, a 5mm does not leave enough room to get a perfect fit in front, and a slight shimmy may occur (which can be corrected). The ones you have coming for the rear will be perfect.

As for the suspension, Kleemann's Speed Sensitive Suspension is the best upgrade you can to on your 55 short of the supercharger.

I just installed 19'' wheels. Problem is that for the fronts I have only ~1 or 2mm of space between the back lip of the wheel and the shock tower (don't know if it's called that, but it's the metal bar next to the shocks). When I turn hard, the lip makes contact w/ the tower -- not a good sound. So to solve this, I'm also thinking of putting wheel spacers...what spacer size do you guys recommend?
