Hi.I have followed exhaust upgrade threads and advice to other posters from the members that have upgraded and am wanting to upgrade the muffler on my 06 clk 500 and was wondering what you experienced members thought of Flowmaster chambered mufflers vs Magnaflows. Are Magnas louder?Deeper sound?.Is flow through design responsible for droan?..All I am thinking of doing is just changing the muffler to a dual in/out for a little more volumn..Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure I would put any of those mufflers on a Mercedes. They have a very specific sound and they're quite popular....so your car will sound like every other car out there.
From experience the Magnaflows have a deep mellow sound. Flowmaster is not as mellow I would say.
I would instead focus on getting some of that V8 sound out...take out the resonator if you have one....that will increase noise

See the following video.
Also, I took the resonator off my stock exhaust first, then put on an magnaflow muffler and the drone and volume were both unbearable. You may want to swap the muffler out first.
Good luck.
