New CLK 55 AMG
from what i understand the new clk55 will still retain the normally aspirated 5.5 liter engine. will the clk55 ever receive the supercharged 5.5 from the sl55??? perhaps in a few years....the reason i ask is because if the indeed the clk55 will receive the supercharged engine in the future i would rather wait for that....

It's very unlikely that we'll ever see a supercharged 5.5l engine officially built by MB/AMG in a W209 because the primary competitors for the CLK are (still) the BMW M3 and the new Audi S4 (4.2l / 360hp). The SL55 clearly plays in an other league.
If 0-100km/h in 5.2 sec (= 0-60mph in about 4.9-5sec) and a top speed of approx. 175mph (speed limiter removed) is still not enough for you, I'm pretty sure that any of the reputable German tuners (i.e. Brabus, Lorinser, etc) will be happy to offer you this combination for a $30-50k uplift.

i just thought that since the sl55 seems to be delayed due to possible engine production problems that they are going to roll out the clk55 with the old engine and put the supercharged one in the clk55 in another year or two when all problems have been resolved.....and you're right....giving the clk55 the more powerful engine would displace it from its competitors but i just thought why not....the engine is already there might as well put it to use in a car that more people can enjoy since the sl55 is being priced around 115,000 US dollars....a little steep for most people my age....
