Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum and I am in the process of buying my first AMG
Its a 2005 Mercedes CLK55 AMG coupe with 49000 miles.
Lot of people say never to buy an AMG without warranty. My question is for those of you who have a CLK55 without warranty whats it like as far as the reliability is concerned. Any feedback would be appreciated

Make sure it doesn't burn oil. My last 2005 CLK55 had engine issue... Sold it before need to change the engine. Most of people say it's bullet prove but you never know. Also check the Secondary Air pump.

My 2004 clk55 has been fine.
Just normal main:
Motor mounts 2 times at 55k miles. Fixed myself 2nd time.
Crank pos sensor. Self
Can pos sensor. Self
Mass air meter 2 times. Self
Goofy dash cup holder. Dealer
Power steering res cracked. Self
Air con charge. Self
Alternator went up in smoke. Put in reman my self.
Radiator. Changed my self as precaution.
If you are a gear head of have a good indie no big deal.
