Lug bolts question
Hi
I bought R230 19" AMG IV wheels (from SL 65 AMG)
- 8,5*19 ET30 : A 211 400 12 02
- 9,5*19 ET31 : A 211 400 14 02
The lug bolts for SL are M14 1.5 21
My C209 CLK 63 has standard M12 1.5 40 for 18" wheels.
Is it ok to use M12 1.5 21 for my 19" wheels on my C209 CLK 63 AMG ?
If yes, can I use the lug bolts A2035800010 ?
I also found a website selling lug bolts (Bolt Pack 4) with M14 head and M12 thread pitch but it seems to be 24 and not 21mm
They say it applies for 230 rims on 209
What do you think ?

Yeah sure, you can use your M12 1.5 bolts, or any M12 1.5 bolts,,
but make sure to use proper length, especially rear, to avoid touching brake shoe..

I don't think you have to go with hybrid bolts,
my friend using his Exist M12 bolts in W220 S600 Rims without any issue,,
but for more confirmation; you can put one M12 bolt inside M14 to see if there is any gap there, which i don't believe..

I would be careful about buying aftermarket lug bolts. The Mercedes lug bolts are fine thread and if the steel is soft (read "Made in China") they will strip. You want to be sure to use RAD Germany forged lug bolts or an equivalent German product. Look here: http://www.otisincla.com/

WOW $650 for lug bolts.
I guess they do have more reasonably price options too.

I used rad cost was about 50/100 dollars for the set! they are great and highly recommend getting them. In using the wrong lug bolt design you can increase stress on the bolt as well as other issues. for 50 dollars its not worth the risk!
