Unhappy flat AMG hood badge

Hi Gang,
I wasn't real sure where to post this so I guess it'll end up here.
I recently purchased an 01 CLK55 and would like to begin changing a few things more to my liking. I want to replace the stock hood star with a flat AMG badge to fit where the star was. I've seen the ones that have been up for bid on ebay, but I'm looking for an authentic one. There was an authentic badge up for bid a week or two ago but I missed bidding on it. I spoke with the seller and he told me these are very hard to get and to get one he had to get it directly from the AMG facility in Germany. So I guess my question is:

1. Does any one know any place else or who I could get an authentic badge from?

If there is no other option I'd like to try and contact AMG directly.

2. Does anyone have an address, email address, or know who to contact at the AMG facility to see about ordering one.

Hope you guys can help me out.
Thanks!

AMG BADGE

There seem to be a few on E-BAY. $40 for original metal bade & adapter. I have not seen the actual AMG at part stores online.

Try This ONE.

........i gave up trying to find "authentic" trinklets. Even stuff you buy from a dealer's accessory store is probably outsourced and manufactured in taiwan or elsewhere. Especially when you buy from ebay.......if the seller claims that the trinklet was actually made at the AMG factory in Germany......how would you or the seller know that? I imagine that the AMG factory has better things to do and probably outsources the manufacture of trinklets and badges while they concentrate on building engines. I guess my point is that, if you are buying an engine or a transmission then you want to make sure that it is "authentic." But with these trinklets and badges, you probably just want tio find a well made one. Even you want the feeling of knowing you have the genuine article, I am not sure it applies to trinklets, badges, valve stem caps, pedals, wheel center caps, lug nuts etc.
