Engine Swap/ Upgrade
I can use some advise on an engine swap on my clk55 AMG, If I were to use an M113 w/ a pre installed supercharger i.e one from a s55 Kompressor. Would I also have to upgrade my ECU also what else would need to be upgraded? Please let me know your thoughts and if anyone has experience with this please let me know.
As always
Thanks Guys!

Yes. Your existing ecu is not programmed to run a completely different engine. They might both be M113's but the AFR's, ignition timing, torque delivery, the fact that it is now producing boost... it could not be more different from the ecu's point of view.
I would suggest supercharging your existing engine would be a much easier but still potentially difficult solution.

Having gone down this road with a clk55...... in hind sight I would have just enjoyed the clk55 in n/a form on road-courses, autocross, cruises, daily driver....... until I save the $$ for a s/c or turbo platform, then move on to the next platform.

CLK W208
you have way more ahead of you than just ECU. the w208 engine harness and ecu don't have the wires and function to control the clutch for the blower so you will have to hard wire it which means it will always be on and that means constant clutch rebuild which isn't cheap. then you have to figure cooling solutions and aftercooler..... physically the engine wont fit because of the oil pan and those engines all have a saddle style oil pan and the w208 because of its subframe has a single pickup oil pan. so you will have to swap the w208 oil pan over and make a hybrid pump with the combination of your w208 oil pumps front piece and the CLS552003 oilpump rear piece, and that's not guaranteed because there are so many variations of the oil pump and feed port on the block that makes it impossible to guess until you pop the oil pan off and take off the oil pump. you have to do this because the saddle tank style pans have two oil pickup lines(front and back) and the w208 has only 1. after all that a proper full custom tune comes into play. again its doable but takes money patience and research. Im probably the first one to convert a me 2.0 clk320 with asr to a full euro spec me2.8 clk55 and it worked like a charm. so anything is doable. but I will tell you you are better off spending way less money and getting a kleeman kit and that will make you very happy and it will be reliable.

W209 should be slightly less involved but as i understand it, coding the ecu to accept its new home will sap your will to live.
Once again adding a supercharger to the NA engine is the easiest route. Of course there is still a long parts list and a lot of tuning to get an oem twinscrew to work properly.
