The right xenon of my CLK 63 (non BS) of 2008 is sometimes blinking, which is really disturbing when driving by night.
I exchanges l/R xenon bulb to check if the bulb was responsible or the lighting unit.
The right xenon is still blinking and the left is ok.
Then I unmounted the right lighting unit and I found 2 box/calculator.
The first one is the control unit (A0038205826 headlamps range adjustment and curveillumination)which I think is not the cause.
The second is the HELLA Ballast (5dv 009 000-10) which is I think the cause of my issue.
The matter is that I am not able to find any MB part number on it and no more to find it in EPC. Perhaps it is not sold separately with the headlight ?
I checked on ebay/amazon etc and was not able to find the same reference 5dv 009 000-10, only 5dv 009 000-00
If anyone have the MB part umber or a link to order the hella remplacement I will be very glad.
its going to be from the ballast, had that problem on my bmw a while ago. headlights would flicker bad changed the ballast and had no problems. sorry dont know anything about the specific part pictured however
That is correct. Usually on xenon kits the ballast tends to go when the lights flicker or sometimes don't come on after repetitive attempts. I would check at an Electrical store or someone like Bosch for that unit. Good luck
Here in South Africa Hella is a main brand sold by Bosch centres mostly and some Midas
I have checked on google and 009 000-10 comes up on Amazon at $140. Hope you successful buying it from here.
I can't find 009 000-10, only 009 000-00. Some ebay sellers indicate this ref as compatible with CLK so perhaps 009 000-10 does not exist anymore.
I wait for my mechanic confirmation and I will buy it.
