Smart Key Insanity
Ok got a 03 CLK55
the key only works to unlock doors and trunk sometimes.
WTF
It always will start car.
The little red light on key always blinks so I assume a new battery is too easy of a fix

I would change the remote battery as well as do a reset to the car battery so to speak. Disconnect negative lead then positive and wait for 10mins to pass. Then reconnect positive first followed by negative cable second. This should improve the issues hopefully.
