Question Renntech airbox and ECU for the 209 CLK55?

As I am sure that most of you know, Renntech is offering an aftermarket airbox and ECU combo for $3495. Supposedly there is a 20 horsepower and 24 lb/ft gain. Initially, I didn't think too much of it, then I noticed that the torque peak (402 lb/ft) is at a lower rpm than stock, 3000 versus 4000 rpm. Does anyone have any idea as to approximately how much torque the stock motor makes at 3000 rpm? Assuming that it's 15 (+/- ) lb/ft less than the peak output, then the actual gain at 3000 rpm could be in the 40 lb/ft range, which could be a noticeable gain. I've found 80 mph to be right around 2800 rpm, so the motor would be real close to peak torque right around where you would want it to be (Where most highway "battles" occur). Does anyone on the board have this set-up, or have any additional information? It's certainly not a big power increase, but at least it's relatively affordable. Renntech also has a low-boost supercharger set-up for about $15000, but I'm a little concerned about detonation on very hot days when the car is under allot of load. I'd need a fair amount of convincing to believe that's safe to do. Anyway, I'd appreciate anyones and everyones thoughts on the subject...

Best regards,
Matt

Matt, sorry don't know much about Renntech products...But you may want to contact Ken @ Dyno Comp, they dyno tune many of the company's products and when speaking with him I immediately noticed his good knowledge w/ Renntech and other MB performance products.
