horn/siren(?) making static noise after shutoff
hey all,
after shutting the car off it seems that the horn/alarm siren(are they different?) is making a static noise once the car is shutoff. it seems to happen within the first hour of shutting the car off. it just comes and goes... as you see in the vid it will do it on and off for a few minutes then no noise for half hour, then start doing it again. its sort of lound, you can hear it from 20 feet away or so.
check out this video i took:

anyone experienced this before? i hadn't tried any battery disconnection or anything yet, but i did just go on vacation and the car sat for 7 days and it started right back up when i go home so its not draining the battery too badly at least.

It sounds like someone is learning to weld or one of the sams (signal acquisition module) is loose or dying.
The SAM collects data from the fuse box and transfers over to the vehicles CAN bus.
The data packets are continuous and required by many on board systems to keep this car always in survival mode.
A wet shifter will ruin your day. loose connection is likely.

Best, Gator

Thanks, I will have the car in the shop for a couple other things in August so hopefully they sort it out and it doesn't cause any issues in the meantime.
