So i needed to replace the ribbon cables for my two side panel LCD displays so I figured I would change the lights as well. I bought the led lights off of ebay from Japan, took a while to get here and were not a very good fit. I had to file the contacts down with a dremel in order to get them to fit. Then I had to bend them in order to make good contact. After a little trail and error, I was able to get a good snug fit and here is the finished result. Fully functional and working LCD panels and blue back lighting. The LED lights were only $4.00 shipped but the hassle I had to go thru in order to get them to work was more work than I had anticipated.
I have to do my ribbon cables too. Who did you buy your cables from?

I bought my ribbon cables from "pixelfix.net" They are based out of England and they sell the silver cables. Shipping was fast and the instructions were very easy. The conductive traces are made with silver instead of carbon and will last the life of the car and then some. You will never have to redo the ribbon cables again, there is no soldering as well.
